This console is a great alternative to the Tuffy or CCOT consoles for Toyota FJ40's and FJ60's. The console itself is solidly built. Don't expect the lock to be as strong as a Tuffy. The lock does the job but if security is your priority the Tuffy is a better choice. It's nice to actually have useful cupholders. The pad is comfortable and looks like it can take some abuse.
The hardware and instructions are pretty much useless. Best bet is to pick up new hardware that works for your installation. Also pick up a strip of weatherstripping foam to put under the front lip of the lid, this way you're not slamming metal on metal each time you close it.
This console will not fit an FJ62. You'll want the shorter version without the radio slot.
For the price you can't beat the console even if it does require a little more involved installation.

This is a perfect product, I don't know how much more protection you would want. I'm pretty specific about my Jeep and the parts that go on it. I would buy this for another Jeep in a second. I love it!

This is a good VALUE considering the price. I've had this installed in my Jeep for 12 months now and have been really pleased. I do wish the drink holders were designed a little better but they work fine.
